Hawley wants Senate to act on his prescription drug bill

Missouri U-S Senator Josh Hawley is not happy that two of his bills are going nowhere. One of them would cap prescription drug prices in the U-S, so that they would be comparable to what they cost patients in Canada and Europe:

“The Big Pharma industry is spending like crazy to try to prevent it from coming to a vote…sooner or later, I’m just gonna have to go down to the floor of the Senate and force a vote on it, and I fully intend to do so.”

Hawley’s also sponsoring a bill that would cap insulin costs at 25 dollars a month for both Medicare and private health plans. He accuses pharmaceutical companies of price gouging.
