Sarcoxie Fire Chief suffers two strokes in three days

Sarcoxie Fire Chief Bert Carnes is seeing support from loved ones and his community after suffering a stroke.
In addition to being Fire Chief, Carnes is also a full-time EMT at Mercy EMS in Carthage.
Carnes had two strokes in three days and with recovery and time off he is going to need help taking care of expenses.
He is the sole provider to his family and his 2 grandchildren.
