City of Joplin working on 2024 budget this week

Budget planning for the City of Joplin is underway for the Proposed Budget for the Fiscal year 2024.  

According to Joplin Mayor Doug Lawson the Council’s work sessions will be held Tuesday thru Thursday in the Council Chambers.  

“We will be spending time working on next year's budget. And that is open to the public at 5:45 PM each night if somebody wants to sit in or has something to say.”

The public will have a chance to speak regarding the city budget at each session
