Pedestrian killed Sunday afternoon in Joplin

23 year old Cory Fitzjohn of Joplin was struck and killed by a westbound vehicle on I-44 near Main Street.
According to Joplin Police Captain Willilam Davis, the accident happened when Fitzjohn tried to cross I-44 on foot just after one thirty Sunday afternoon.
The driver was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation by the Joplin Police Major Crash Team.
