An accident on Missouri Route 59 a mile north of Goodman around 10:15 Saturday night resulted in injuries to two.

The MO State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a southbound Honda motorcycle operated by 32-year-old Michael D. Ritchie of Anderson traveled off the right edge of the roadway.

Ritchie steered left, returned to the roadway. The cycle then overturned and skidded down the highway.

Anderson suffered serious injuries. An occupant, 24-year-old Heidi R. Huckeba of Anderson, had moderate injries.

Both were taken to Freeman West hospital in Joplin.
