Springdale Police cleared after officer fires shot

A police officer in Springdale, Arkansas has been cleared after a shooting in February in which he fired his weapon at an armed suspect.

Officers with the Springdale Police Department were working a disturbance call in February when they say a man identified as Ethan Brasel ran from them and fired one round at them.

An officer fired back but did not hit Brasel.

The officer who fired the shot was placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation conducted by the Washington County Sheriff's Office took place.

The officers have now reportedly been cleared of any wrongdoing.
