Pitt president leaves on 12-day bike trip across Kansas

PRESERVED_BLOCK_1 Despite rain showers in the area, Pittsburg State University president Dan Shipp left for his 12-day-long "Dan Bikes Kansas" trip this morning.
Shipp plans to visit with Pitt supporters across the state, to host events and raise funds for scholarships.
He's first traveling to Ft. Scott, then Iola, Ottawa and Lawrence.
He then heads west to the Colorado border.
Shipp was cheered along by members of the community as he left Pittsburg this morning.
