Man from Vinita indicted for alleged child abuse in Oklahoma

A man from Vinita, Oklahoma has been indicted as part of Federal Grand Jury indictments returned in December in the Northern District of Oklahoma.
United States Attorney Clint Johnson said 55-year-old Solon Michael Griffith of Vinita, is charged with Child Abuse in Indian Country.
Johnson says the indictment alleges Griffith struck and significantly bruised a six-year-old victim. The FBI is the primary investigative agency.
The alleged violation must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome a defendant's presumption of innocence.
