Two small earthquakes in New Madrid County

NEW MADRID COUNTY - The United States Geological Survey is reporting two small earthquakes were recorded early Tuesday morning, December 27 in New Madrid County in southeast Missouri.

The epicenters were just a few miles apart and happened nearly 90 minutes apart.

The first quake happened place 4:49 a.m. about 3 and one-half miles southeast of Marston.

According to the USGS, both earthquakes were a magnitude 2.2.
