Toddler reported killed by dog in NW Arkansas

Police in Springdale, Arkansas say a child was attacked and killed by a dog there last Thursday.

The Washington County Coroner's office has reportedly confirmed that the body of a toddler has been sent to the state crime lab to undergo an autopsy.

It happened in the Nob Hill area in Springdale.

The dog reportedly is being held by authorities until the investigation determines the cause of death and whether or not a crime was committed.

The child's name is not being released.
