Wanted Springfield man found dead in home after standoff

The Springfield man being sought in connection with another man in that city is dead.

Springfield Police say Robert Parmley, Jr. died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound during a stand-off with officers.

Police went to the house late Thursday night after being told he could be there.

Parmley was found dead inside about three hours later.

Parmley was accused of shooting Charles Tart in Springfield about a week ago after an argument about a dog.

Parmley had been charged with 2nd degree murder and armed criminal action  by the Greene County Prosecutor.
