Carthage 3 year old dead

A child is dead after being found unresponsive in a car.  

Carthage Police reported the three year old child was discovered Friday afternoon in the 100 block of North Maple street.  

The child was taken to a Joplin hospital and transferred to a Springfield hospital where the girl died Saturday.  

The investigation is ongoing..
