Meet the artist behind Joplin's "Downtown Black History & Performing Arts Mural"

Joplin, Missouri - The Langston Hughes Cultural Society invites you for a "Meet
the Artist" event which will take place at the Downtown Black History & Performing Arts Mural located at the intersection of 1st and Main St. on the North side of Bruce's Point of View on Saturday, July 30th 2022, from 7pm to 8:30pm.*

The mural artist, Alexander Austin, will be available to sign autographs and speak with attendees. He will also have locally influenced paintings available for sale to the public. This will be a fun and educational Street Party with music, refreshments, and historical information about the mural subjects. Special guests include Mr. Charles McPherson (via video) and Joplin Mayor pro-tem, Keenan Cortez.
