The Joplin City Council will hold a work session beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night to discuss prioritization of community projects covered by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

The ARPA is a federal law signed by President Biden in March of last year. It focuses on supporting the most vulnerable communities and businesses.

Total funding in Joplin is $13.8 million for projects and revenue replacement.

A wide range of projects are under consideration with final approval expected on or around August 1st of this year.

The meeting gets underway at 5:30 Tuesday night in 5th Floor Council Chambers in City Hall at 602 S. Main Street.
