Motorcycle accident causes injury to woman from Stark City

Motorcycle accident causes injury to woman from Stark City

A woman from Stark City was injured in a motorcycle accident on Old Highway 71, about 2 miles south of Joplin around 8:25 Friday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a northbound 2009 Harley Davidson Sportster operated by 42-year-old Wendy Beard of Stark City failed to negotiate a curve and overturned.

Beard was wearing a safety device.

She was transported to a Joplin hospital suffering from moderate injuries.
