I-49 accident injures motorcyclist from Independence, Missouri

An accident on I-49, approximately five miles south of Lamar, has resulted in injuries to a motorcycle operator from Independence, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck occurred when a southbound 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan operated by 25-year old Dylan M. Byard, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned around 5 p.m. Friday evening.

Byard was ejected from the motorycle.

He  was transported by ambulance to a Joplin hospital suffering moderate injuries.
