Former Missouri Juvenile Court Officer Indicted For Child Sex Trafficking

A Missouri man who was a deputy juvenile state court officer for more than 30 years is accused of sex trafficking of a minor.

The federal indictment alleges that 62-year-old Scott Burow of Hannibal solicited a minor to engage in a commercial act in late March and early April 2020.

A detention motion says Burow met the 15-year-old victim who was a ward of the state of Illinois on a dating app.

Prosecutors say Burow picked her up and committed statutory rape and sodomy while secretly videotaping her in his home.

Investigators traced the dating app to Burow and a search turned up numerous explicit photos and videos.

The F-B-I's Kirksville office is asking the public to help identify other potential victims.
