Pagan chosen as Joplin School District's Teacher of the Year

Special education teacher Julie Pagan has been named the Joplin School District's Teacher of the Year.

Pagan was honored at a school assembly. She has been a teacher for at Soaring Heights Elementary for the last six years.

Pagan received $500 in addition a plaque, balloons and flowers.

She is now in the running for Missouri Regional Teacher of the Year.
