Crash near Snowball injures woman from Joplin

A crash Friday morning near Snowball just north of the city limits resulted in injuries to a woman from Joplin.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash took place around 9 a.m. on north Schifferdecker Avenue after a woman's 2009 BMW convertible traveled off the right side of the roadway, became airborne and struck a ditch.

The vehicle then hit a metal post and a fence and overturned.

20-year old Madison T. Bennett of Joplin was taken to a Joplin hospital with moderate injuries.

The patrol says Bennett was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
