Two people injured in Schiffferdecker accident Thursday night

Two people were injured in a car wreck on Schifferdecker Avenue about a mile north of Joplin around 6:30 Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a car driven by 27-year-old Mariah N. Burns of Webb City traveled off the left side of the roadway, then went back onto the roadway and slid into a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Charles R. Botkin of Galena, Kansas.
Burns suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a Joplin hospital.
An eight-year-old in her car suffered minor injuries and was also transported. Botkin was not injured.
