Assault at Springfield club is homicide after victim dies

(AP) — Springfield police say a man who was assaulted at a club in late January has died from his injuries.
Investigators say 37-year-old Jeffrey Brent, of Springfield, was assaulted in the parking lot of Rumors Cabaret on Jan. 30.
He died at a hospital on Sunday.
Police say they have identified a suspect in the homicide but no arrests have been made.
