Woman from Parsons, KS arrested Wednesday for stealing property

A woman from Parsons was arrested on Wednesday after she allegedly stolen an item off a porch in the area.

The suspect was filmed in action, and the video was posted on social media.

A report of theft was received by the Parsons Police Department on Tuesday.

Then on Wednesday, a Parsons Police Department officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Gabriel for a report of a possible break-in at an unoccupied house.

A search was conducted and officers located 33-year-old Parsons resident Rachel Lynn Ashley in the house.

The owner of the residence told authorities that no one was allowed inside the home.

Ashley was arrested and transported to the Parsons Police Department.

Ashely was identified as the suspect in the theft after authorities identified her in the social media post.

Rachel Ashley was charged with: Criminal Trespass, Theft, and Burglary.
