Neosho man faces hit and run accident charges

A Neosho man was put under arrest by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Saturday after he allegedly caused two hit-and-run crashes.

The first crash took place around 3:30 Saturday afternoon in an area near 44th and South Main, just outside the Joplin City limits.

The Patrol says 37-year-old Dustin Harp left the scene of that accident.

Shortly after that, his car left the right side of the road and struck a traffic sign and then overturned at the Redings Mill Bridge.

He was found in a wooded area nearby suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Harp faces multiple charges in Newton County.
