Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt says decision to get vaccine should be up to the individual, not government

Among the opposition to President Biden's order of a mask mandate was Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt.

Speaking in a news release, the Attorney General stated that, "No president has the legal authority to decree a national vaccine mandate or to punish private businesses that refuse to discriminate against employees based on their health status."

He went on to say later that the decision to get the Covid-19 vaccine is an important healthcare choice that should be reserved for each individual American and not the federal government.
