Joplin Parks and Recreation Department to offer soccer league for children this fall

The Joplin Parks and Recreation Department will offer soccer leagues for elementary and middle-school children this fall at the Joplin Athletic Complex.

"The Department’s Youth Soccer League is open to area youth ages 5-14 years old. Practices begin the week of August 23, with games on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays (depending on the child’s age) starting September 7. The cost is $40/player, which includes a jersey, shorts, and socks," according to a news release from the Parks and Rec Department.

League registration must be completed by August 9; parents can register their child at joplinparks.org, calling 417-625-4750, or at the Department's office at 3301 W. 1st street.
