Carthage Police find suspected remains of missing man

The search is over for a man from Carthage that had not been seen in over two weeks.
On Thursday, at 12:06 pm, a deceased body was recovered a bit upstream from the Walnut Bottoms area in Spring River by a search team looking for Thomas Whitaker.
The Carthage Police Department is now conducting a death investigation.
They believe the individual found to be Mr. Whitaker, however state that they are awaiting pathology reports to confirm the identity.
