Missouri will be receiving almost three-billion dollars in federal funding under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

ARPA was signed into law earlier this year by President Biden.

State budget director Dan Haug testified at the Statehouse in Jefferson City on Tuesday, before a Missouri House subcommittee.

Mr. Haug testified that Missouri will not be able to put that $2.8 billion into a Rainy Day fund and cannot use it for pensions either. He says the proposed state IT overhaul project is eligible to use ARPA money.
