Woman riding bicycle on St. Louis interstate fatally hit

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Police in St. Louis say a 19-year-old woman riding a bicycle on Interstate 170 died Monday in a hit-and-run crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Sha'leah Hamblin, of St. Louis, was riding a bike in a northbound lane of I-170 around 12:20 a.m. Monday when she was hit from behind by a vehicle.

Police say the vehicle did not stop.

Hamblin died at the scene.

Investigators say she was not wearing at helmet at the time of the crash.
