A suspect has been arrested following an investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office Thursday morning.

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office - through a news release - said deputies responded to a residence on E 54 Hwy, just east of Dedrick, MO, involving a report of shots being fired.

Reports say a structure was hit several times but no injures were reported.

A search warrant was obtained and executed on the suspect's home Thursday afternoon that resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamines and multiple firearms.

The suspect was identified as 55-year-old El Dorado Springs resident Daniel Sands; he was charged with two counts of Armed Criminal Action, Possession of Controlled Substance, two counts of Unlawful Use of Weapon, and Keeping of Maintaining a Public Nuisance.

Sands is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
