St. Louis man charged in death of woman found on train track

ST. LOUIS (AP) -  A 27-year-old St. Louis man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a woman found badly injured on railroad tracks.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Saturday reported Anthony Newberry was also charged with kidnapping and robbery related to Lynette Lecates' death.

Lecates was found May 23 on a stretch of St. Louis railroad tracks and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

The 41-year-old St. Louis woman died roughly two weeks later.

Online court records didn't list an attorney for Newberry as of Saturday.
