Sarcoxie issues boil order

The Sarcoxie water system suffered storm damage Friday night and Saturday morning.

In some areas, water pressure was reduced to zero or almost zero.

City officials are doing everything they can do to get the supply of clean water back to customers.

"We're instituting a boil water order just to be extra cautions and careful," says Sarcoxie Mayor Don Triplett.

Mayor Triplett says the immediate problem has been repaired but water samples will have to be approved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) before the boil order is lifted.
