19-year-old Columbia man shot to death inside a vehicle

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - The Boone County Sheriff's Department is investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man.
The victim, Dennis Darks, was shot early Friday.
Sheriff's Capt. Brian Leer said officers responded to several calls of gunshots.
They were investigating damage to a home when witnesses said someone had been taken by private vehicle to a Columbia hospital. Leer said investigators determined Darks was shot while in a parked vehicle.
No arrests have been made.
