Former Mayor of Purcell arrested on charge of Felony Stealing

A former Mayor of Purcell was arrested last Thursday after suspicion arose they may be stealing from the city.

50-year-old Nancy Wilson faces charges of stealing after being arrested on May 27 following an investigation being conducted by the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.

A bond of $2,600.00 was set for Wilson the following day, May 28.

She posted bond and was released.

More charges may come as the investigation continues.
