Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt says he's "greatly concerned" about the S1 bill

In a Rules Committee meeting on Sunday, Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt criticized the S1 Bill for its federal regulation of state election systems.

Senator Roy Blunt said, "I'm greatly concerned about the idea that somehow one size fits all regulations from the federal government change a system that has served our country well since the beginning of the country."

S1 would force state and local election administrators around the country to change numerous procedures, including how they register voters and which voting systems they can use, how they handle early voting and absentee ballots, and how they maintain voter lists.
