Motive uncovered after man allegedly murders family members in Strafford

A man from Southwest Missouri told authorities that he killed three members of his family because they "wouldn't leave" his home.

50-year-old Jesse Huy called police Saturday night after the incident and told them he had shot and killed his wife, Tonya F. Huy, 48, of Strafford, and her two parents Ronald L. Koehler, 71, and Linda J. Koehler, 78, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

“Well they wouldn’t leave, I’ve been waiting for a week for them to leave. I’ve had enough," Huy allegedly told investigators.

Huy is now facing three counts of first-degree murder and is being held without bond in the Greene County Jail.
