Bicyclist fatally struck by car in Independence, Missour

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) - A bicyclist has died after being struck by a car in Independence, Mo.
The Kansas City Star reports that the accident happened Saturday morning on Missouri 78.
Police say an eastbound Ford Mustang struck the bicyclist, who was heading south across the roadway.
The bicyclist died at the scene. The driver of the Mustang was not hurt.
Authorities have not said what caused the accident.
