Severe Weather Awareness Week starts today with Preparedness Day

The National Weather Service will initiate a statewide tornado drill Tuesday, March 2 at 10 am.

Should hazardous weather be present at that time, the drill will be postponed.

Severe Weather Awareness Week’s schedule is: Monday - Preparedness Day, Tuesday- Tornado Safety Day, Wednesday - Lightning Safety Day, Thursday - Severe Thunderstorm Day, and Friday - Flood Safety Day.
