A man from Joplin was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision just before 12:30 PM Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred on I-44, five miles east of Mount Vernon.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol say that a tractor-trailer driven by Hoxie, Arkansas resident 56-year-old Roger L. Galla attempted to change lanes, when 61-year-old Joplin resident Daniel Martin crashed into Galla from behind.
Martin received serious injuries and was treated for them at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
