Joplin man faces February court date for alleged crimes.

A man from Joplin currently faces charges stemming from a Spring 2020 arrest made by the Joplin Police Department.

75-year-old Ernest Wright will face charges of Felony Statutory Sodomy  1st Degree and Deviate Sexual Intercourse-Person Less Than 12. This Criminal Complaint was issued by Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Theresa Kenny.

The initial investigation with a child began in May of 2020.

A lengthy Probable Cause Affidavit details his alleged crimes.

Wright's next court date is February 18, 2021, at 10 am.
