Monday evening car crash claims two lives around Republic.

A Monday evening accident at 8:25 PM took the lives of two men and seriously injured another on Highway TT, 2 miles north of Republic.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that 20-year-old Logan Flanagan and 21-year-old Calen Hankins, both of Republic, were in a 2008 Pontiac G6 when they ran off the roadway and collided with several trees before being ejected.

Flanagan and Hankins were both pronounced dead at the scene.

22-year-old James Flanagan, from Republic as well, was also ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.

James Flanagan was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
