Fatal accident takes life of driver from Nevada

A fatal car accident in Nevada's Marmaduke Park sometime on the morning of January 1st has taken the life of a man from Nevada.
In a correction to the original report, the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when a car driven by 21-year-old Jerrod R. Gerster failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree.
Gerster was pronounced dead at 8:10 a.m.
A passenger, 21-year-old Cayden A. Cambell, suffered serious injuries.
Authorities aren't sure exactly what time the crash occurred. .
The accident remains under investigation.
