The Pittsburg City Commission approved an additional $100,000 on Tuesday to assist with the financing of Dragonet's services coming to Pittsburg, Kansas.

Dragonet is a free wifi service that will be available to 500 Pittsburg students and their families who otherwise wouldn't have internet access. The initial funds came from a $1.1 million dollar grant.

Tower construction for the wireless internet program will start before the end of the month and be completed by January 1st of next year.
