Early morning accident closes part of I-44

An early morning accident on i-44  between a tractor trailer and a car caused a fire and closed parts of I-44.

It happened this morning near the Rangeline road accident on the westbound side of I-44.

Details on the crash  have not been released at this time, but the semi-tractor was completely destroyed by fire after the initial impact.

The driver of the car suffered only minor injuries, The truck driver needed to be transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
