Man arrested for alleged theft of walnut logs

The alleged theft of a load of walnut tree logs has led to an arrest in Vernon County.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of 1625 Road and E. Tally Bend Road for a report of a theft of walnut logs on Thursday morning.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher says deputies were advised that a suspect was traveling in a tractor on 1625 Road hauling a load of the logs.

Taken into custody was 27 year old Daniel Halverson of Milo.

He's charged with stealing property worth over $750 and and 1st degree property damage. Halverson was taken to the Vernon County jail.
