Drunk Driver Kills Pedestrian In Parsons

A man from Labette County was killed when he was run over by a drunk driver Wednesday night in Parsons.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 29-year-old William Treiber, of St. Paul, was walking along the shoulder of Highway 59, when just after 9 o'clock he was hit by a woman that was passing in a no passing zone.

29-year-old Tiffany Jakee, of Parsons, is held without bond on charges of involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence, plus leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death.

Treiber was pronounced dead at the scene.
