Teen Ejected In Newton County Crash

A teenager from Pierce City is fighting for his life following a wreck in which his car rolled numerous times.

The Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Dakota Hood lost control of his car on Route W around 6:30 Wednesday night, hit the embankment, causing his car to roll several times.

Hood, not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected. He is in serious condition at a Joplin hospital.
