Joplin man arrested on child molestation charges

A 38-year-old man from Joplin was arrested on Friday on charges of first-degree statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation. John Anthony Shutters was arrested after Jasper County deputies investigated a report of a sexual abuse incidents that involved two girls ages 10 and 12. Shutters is being held at the Jasper County Detention Center on a no bond warrant. The investigation continues and additional charges may be forthcoming.
