Purdy woman killed in collision with train

A 59-year-old woman from Purdy was killed after a train hit her car Wednesday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Fransisca Perez Salas was driving on Washington Avenue in Purdy when she failed to yield to a locomotive. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of her grandchildren, aged three and eight, suffered serious injuries in the crash. The Patrol's report says the crossing is marked by crossbuck sign and pedestrian bell.
