Two arrested; heroin, cocaine, stolen firearm seized by Joplin SWAT Team

Two men from Joplin were arrested after the Joplin's SWAT team found heroin, cocaine and a stolen firearm during a search warrant Thursday. Read the full press release below:

On January 16th, 2020 the Joplin Police Department SWAT team served a search warrant for the JPD investigations bureau. During the search warrant multiple items of narcotics, paraphernalia, and a stolen firearm was located. The following arrests were made in connection to the search warrant.

42-year-old Rico Hudson was arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. 24-year-old Rashad Jackson was also taken into custody during the search warrant. Jackson was arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

Recovered in the residence during the search of the home was heroin, cocaine, and various marijuana/THC substances. Also located during the search were two handguns one which was reported stolen out of the city of Joplin.
