Double Fatality Crash In McDonald County

Two people were killed in a crash in Pineville Wednesday night, and one of the victims was just a young child.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Amun Omer of Noel was southbound on Highway 71 around 6 o'clock when she made a u-turn on the divided highway and was hit by 44-year-old Kelli Lovatt of Goodman.

Lovatt was transported to Mercy in Springfield with serious injuries.

Two passengers, 19-year-old Nimo Omer and a 6-year-old boy were killed on impact in Omer's car.

Omer is recovering from moderate injuries at Northwest Regional Hospital in Bentonville.
